I needed a solid lithium battery that could crank my 40hp Mercury, run all my electronics and lights, and let me check its status from my phone—because, you know, I like to spy on my battery.

I love my 12v 140ah dual purpose starting and deep cycle battery. This is the second one that I have placed inside the center console of my boat. The performance of both batteries is superior to my previous lead acid batteries. My Evinrude E-tec 150hp motor keeps them fully charged. The only time I have charged them is when I took them out of the shipping box. I no longer have to crawl inside the console to check electrolyte levels. I no longer have to fight to install or remove 66 pound group 31 lead acid batteries inside the console in order to maintain them. These group 31 LiTime batteries have been maintenance free and they weigh half as much as my old lead acid batteries.
