Tough batteries

So I thought I had a good idea when I decided to use a self regulating tank heater to keep my battery warm and it worked a couple years….until it didn’t ! The heater stopped self regulating and melted the battery but it would still take a charge and would supply some stored energy but it was greatly decreased. Lesson learned, don’t do that again. The nice part was that the batteries have dropped in price so replacing it wasn’t as painful on the wallet.
