Not at all! For the same power, a higher voltage results in a lower current. It's well known that more current generates more heat, which is the enemy of your electronics. Therefore, a 16V battery will produce less than 20% of the current as a 12V battery, resulting in less heat to reduce the risk of overheating.

A 7-inch graph is rated for 2A at 12.8V. If upgraded to a 16V battery, and maintaining the same power of 25.6W, we can calculate the current at 16V based on the power formula:

I have only had the two 16v 70ah batteries for a month. I ran them in parallel so that I would have 140ah of power to run four 12” Humminbird units and Mega live 2. So far, everything has worked GREAT! I would recommend LiTime to anyone.
So far so good. Battery doing an excellent job on running active target, lowrance carbon 12, and my rite hite turret. I’ve fished three days since installing and haven’t gotten below 62 % charge on the battery on any of the three days. Clarity seems to be as expected. App is easy as well. So far very pleased.
The 16v battery has been a solid upgrade for my Garmin marine electronics. I’ve noticed a clearer return on Livescope and more consistent voltage overall. It’s also my first time using a battery with Bluetooth, and I have to say, it’s pretty handy. The app is simple to use and gives me valuable information at a glance...state of charge, amp draw, temperature, and capacity. Will opt for bluetooth capabilities in the future!
