Q: Can I Use Marine Trolling Motor Battery in Electric Outboard Motor?

Normally, it's not recommended to use a battery designed for a trolling motor in an electric outboard motor since the surge discharge current might not be sufficient. Outboard motors often require higher power for acceleration and sustained operation, which can lead to higher surge currents that trolling motor batteries may not handle well.

If you’re planning to use an electric outboard motor, it’s best to invest in a battery specifically designed for such applications like LiTime Outboard Motor Batteries. These batteries are built to handle the high power requirements and ensure optimal performance and safety.

Q: How do I monitor the battery status?

This 12V lithium battery, equipped with an integrated Bluetooth module, enables convenient monitoring of the battery status using your smartphone through the LiTime App.

Q: What to do when receive the battery?

Please charge the Bluetooth battery first after receiving it. This will ensure that the battery can be turned on and the Bluetooth connection is established.

Our Bluetooth batteries are delivered in the off state, the virtual voltage of the battery terminal is 3V-5V, this is a normal phenomenon, just use the AC-DC lithium battery charger or MPPT solar charge controller to charge the battery and turn on the battery, it can be used normally.

If you intend to store the battery for an extended period without use, we recommend charging it to a SOC of 30% to 50% and conducting maintenance every three months. These measures will help preserve its functionality and performance in the long run.

Q: How many batteries can I connect in sereis or parallel?

The 12V lithium battery from LiTime supports maximum connections of 4 in series and 4 in parallel. Allow you to build up a maximum battery system of 16 battery units with 20.48kWh Max. capacity and 20.48kW of Max. power.

To connect in series or parallel, batteries should meet the below conditions:

a. identical batteries with the same battery capacity (Ah) and BMS (A);

b. from the same brand (as lithium battery from different brands has their special BMS);

c. purchased in near time (within one month).

Q: Can I use this to start my car/boat engine?

No. LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices. If you need the marine starting batteries, visit LiTime 12V 20Ah Marine Cranking or 12V 140Ah Dual Purpose battery to choose.

12V 100AH Lithium TM

I have three of the 12V 100AH Lithium batteries on my 36V trolling motor and one for electronics. So far the trolling batteries have performed flawlessly. In an average day of bass fishing (8-9 hrs), i return to the dock with an average of 68% remaining power. The electronics battery does not fare as well. However, It's running 4 - 12" Humminbird graphs, a MEGA Live and MEGA 360 and runs the battery down to an average of 16% by the end of the day. Perhaps I should have purchased a bit bigger battery for that application. All in all, I am very pleased with the performance, price and certainly the weight of the "LITime 12V 100AH Lithium Batteries".

Great Battery!

1st time owner of a lithium battery for recreational use. I previously used a wet, lead-acid deep cycle marine battery for my pontoon boat's trolling motor. Biggest complaint was how heavy these batteries were. My brother has a Li-time Group 31, 12V 100Ah lithium battery with blue tooth technology, along with Li-Time 20 amp charger. Per his recommendation, I bought the same battery and charger. What a difference! Not only is this lithium battery more than 50% lighter in weight (21 lbs. vs. 45 lbs.), it is very easy to charge, don't have to worry about keeping the electrolyte level up and the charge level lasts a long time. Unfortunately, due to the battery's height, it isn't compatible with my existing battery box's dimensions and have to order a new box from Li-Time that will fit the battery. Otherwise, am quite impressed with the quality and performance of this battery and the charger.

Great trolling motor battery.

I use this battery to run a Motoguide xi3 on a feelfree lure 11.5 kayak. 3 trips in, and it's impresive how long the battery last. The weight of the battery is incredible for a group 31 and the bluetooth app is prettty dang sweet. The app nullifies the need for an in-line volltage reader. Check the app and see all the stats of your battery.
