LiTime 36V LiFePO4 batteries can last over 4,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge, which translates to more than 10 years of regular use under ideal conditions.
Yes, LiTime 36V lithium-ion batteries support parallel connections to expand capacity. For safe series or parallel wiring, use batteries that:
Yes. LiFePO4 is widely regarded as one of the safest and most stable lithium battery chemistries available. LiTime lithium cells are certified to UL, FCC, CE, RoHS, and UN38.3 standards to help ensure quality and safety.
All LiTime LiFePO4 batteries—including 36 volt battery lithium ion options—feature a built-in Battery Management System (BMS) that safeguards against under-voltage (discharge), over-voltage (charge), over-current (discharge), over-temperature (charge/discharge), and short circuits to protect the cells from damage. In addition, LiTime batteries are tested to help minimize fire risk.
It’s best to avoid fully discharging 36 volt LiFePO4 batteries. While they tolerate deep cycling better than lead-acid, repeatedly draining them to 0% can shorten lifespan and reduce performance. For optimal longevity, recharge before the state of charge gets too low—ideally around 20% or higher.
When receiving your lithium battery 36 volt, it may have a low state of charge (SOC) due to transportation and storage. To ensure optimal performance, charge the battery immediately to avoid over-discharge.
Batteries with Bluetooth functionality may arrive in an off state, showing a terminal voltage between 3V and 5V, and you won't be able to connect them to your phone. This is because they are shipped powered off, similar to mobile phones, to minimize self-discharge and extend the battery's lifespan.
There are 2 ways to solve the problem: using an AC-DC lithium battery charger or an MPPT solar charge controller to charge it for 3 to 10 seconds, then the battery can be used normally.
If you plan to store the battery for a long time, charge it to a SOC of 50% and perform maintenance every three months. This will help preserve its functionality and performance.
LiTime offers a 5-year warranty on our batteries. We also provide returen and refund service.

Due to the different charging requirements compared to lead-acid batteries, we recommend using a LiFePO4 lithium battery charger for charging.
Here are the charging options for LiTime 36 volt lithium golf cart batteries:
1)AC-DC lithium battery charger: Choose a charger with the correct charging voltage to safely charge the battery.
2) Solar panels: When using solar panels, ensure you connect a solar charge controller for safe charging.
3) Alternator/Generator:
a. If your alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery.
b. If your alternator or generator supports AC output, use a compatible battery charger as recommended in the product manual to safely connect the battery and generator.
A 36 volt lithium battery is the easiest, most practical upgrade for existing 36V golf carts and light-duty driving, while 48V is better when you need more power and range.
With the same 100Ah capacity, LiTime lists 36V = 3,600Wh (~20–25 miles) vs 48V = 4,800Wh (~30–35 miles), and notes 36V fits light loads/flat terrain (often older carts).
