What are the differences between the waterproof version and classic version?

Can I charge a LiFePO4 battery with a trickle charger?
Trickle charging is not suitable for lithium batteries. Using a trickle charger that is not specifically designed for LiFePO4 batteries can result in overcharging or damage, as lithium batteries have different charging requirements than traditional lead-acid batteries. It’s essential to use a charger that meets the specific needs of lithium technology to ensure safe and effective charging.
What charger should I use for LiFePO4 battery?
For a complete charge of a 12V LiFePO4 battery, a charger with a voltage ranging of 14.4V±0.2V is necessary. If a charger with a lower voltage is used, it can still charge the battery, but it won't reach full 100% capacity.
Can I charge LiFePO4 to 100%?
Yes, you can. But charging a battery to less than 100% and avoiding complete discharge always increases cell longevity. Similarly, maintaining operation within the 20%-80% state of charge (SoC) range will prolong the life of lithium batteries. In the case of LiTime deep cycle lithium batteries, they can withstand over 4000 deep cycles at 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD), over 6000 cycles at 80% DoD, and more than 15,000 cycles at 60% DoD.

40A LiPo4 battery charger
I finally got around to using this charger. The shipping was quick and it was adequately packed - arrived without a problem.
I hooked it up to what was a dead LiPo4 battery to see if it could wake it up, but id did not. However, I used it on another 100Ah Lipo4 battery and it charged it perfectly. It appears to be well made and has a readout that is very helpful. Hope to use it for many years to come.

More power, trolling
I was surprised how easy it was to connect the Bluetooth. I just started using it 2 days ago and the speed of my little Minnkota Trolling Motor was spectacular. I hope this will continue to perform as it did my first time.
The waterproof charger also seems to be working well. A bit concerned if it would overheat but that doesn't seem to be doing it yet. Look forward to both the battery and chargers' longevity.

Charger works fine. Has a nice indicating light that shows it's charging and when battery is fully charged. One thing I noticed is it runs extremely hot. You cannot hold it in your hand very long.
