Trickle charging is not acceptable for lithium batteries. Charging a LiFePO4 battery with a trickle charger not designed for this type of battery could lead to overcharging or damage due to the different charging requirements of lithium batteries compared to traditional lead-acid batteries.
Yes, you can charge lithium batteries to 100%. However, keeping the charge below 100% and avoiding complete discharge can significantly enhance cell longevity. Maintaining a state of charge (SoC) within the 20%-80% range is particularly beneficial for prolonging the life of lithium batteries.

No. This charger is designed only for LiFePO4 batteries. For charging Lead-Acid, LiFePO4, or NCM batteries, we recommend using our LiTime Multi-Bank Chargers, including 12V+24V 10A, 12V+36V 10A, 12V 10A 2-Bank, 12V 10A 3-Bank, and 12V 10A 4-Bank.
I purchased 3 (24v 230amp) batteries. I replaced my 2 (12v 460amp) Epoch batteries. The Epoch batteries were in series, way too much trouble to keep them balanced. And yes I did use a balancer. The Li Time batteries work great, no issues easy to install. I then realized I needed a charger at least for a backup. The 40 amp charger is great, I was able to charge all 3 batteries to full before I installed them.
So far so good. Not sure about the Longevity yet though.
Very impressed with the quality of this battery. This battery is the center piece of a backup power system that I am building for our home. The diy system will provide power to run two furnaces and a refrigerator during a powerage.
Purchased this charger to charge with a generator, on days with clouds or heavy use I charge a 200 amp hour battery with this charger and it’s very fast.
I use this system to supply water to two greenhouses.
