FAQ
Do LiTime batteries have Bluetooth?

Not all LiTime batteries have Bluetooth. Only models marked with Smart or Bluetooth 5.0 support Bluetooth connectivity.LiTime Bluetooth batteries can be monitored and controlled through the LiTime App. However, basic models or models that are not labeled as Bluetooth-enabled do not support App connection. The easiest way to check is to look at the product page or the battery label to see whether it says Smart or Bluetooth 5.0. LiTime's official Bluetooth battery page also classifies these models as Bluetooth lithium batteries, which can be used with the App to view battery data, control discharging, and perform firmware updates if OTA upgrades are supported.

How do I connect a LiTime battery to the App?

Download the LiTime App, turn on Bluetooth on your phone, then scan the QR code in the App or search for nearby batteries and select your battery to connect.First, confirm that your battery supports Bluetooth. Then download the LiTime App, turn on Bluetooth on your phone, open the App, and register an account. After that, scan the QR code on the battery or search for nearby LiTime Bluetooth batteries in the App. If this is your first time using the battery, or if the battery is turned off, use a LiFePO4 charger or an MPPT charger with lithium battery activation function to charge the battery for 3–10 seconds. This will wake up the BMS, after which Bluetooth will turn on.

How does the LiTime Bluetooth App work?

The LiTime App reads battery cell data through Bluetooth, allowing users to view battery status on their phone and perform some remote controls. The App can display data such as SOC, remaining capacity, power, current, voltage, cell temperature, cycle count, and charging/discharging status. It also allows users to view the status of a single battery or a single/multiple-battery system, and to control the discharge switch or turn off the battery.

How do I connect my Bluetooth to my lithium battery?

Turn on Bluetooth on your phone, then add and connect the battery through the LiTime App.Make sure the battery is powered on or activated, Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, and your phone is close to the battery. Then open the LiTime App and scan the QR code on the battery, or select the battery from the nearby device list.If the connection fails, first check whether the battery is powered on or in low-voltage protection mode. If necessary, charge it for 3–10 seconds to wake it up. Also keep your phone within about 10 meters of the battery, and try to reduce obstacles or interference from other Bluetooth devices.

How do I update LiTime battery firmware?

LiTime Bluetooth batteries that support OTA updates can be updated through the LiTime App. The firmware version can be updated remotely to help optimize battery performance without removing or disassembling the battery. First, update the LiTime App to the latest version. Then connect to the target battery, enter the battery details page, and check whether there is a Firmware Version prompt or update option. During the upgrade, keep your phone close to the battery, maintain a stable Bluetooth connection, and do not close the App or disconnect the battery power. If there is no firmware update option in the App, it usually means that the model does not support firmware updates, no update is currently required, or you may need to contact LiTime Support for confirmation.

Does the LiTime lithium battery App cost money?

The LiTime App is usually free to download and use. Batteries, chargers, and accessories are sold separately.LiTime's official content mentions that users can use the "free LiTime App" to track battery performance. However, App Store or Google Play availability and display information may vary by country or region, so the final result should be based on what is shown in the user's local App Store or Google Play Store.

What are the benefits of using the LiTime lithium battery App?

The main benefit is that it makes battery management more visual, safer, and more convenient, reducing the risk of not knowing what is happening inside the battery. With the LiTime App, users can view SOC, voltage, current, power, temperature, and cycle count in real time. They can also check whether the battery is in standby, charging, or discharging mode; monitor a single battery or a multi-battery system; remotely control discharging; and perform OTA updates on supported models. For RVs, boats, off-grid systems, home backup power, and trolling motors, the App helps users identify low battery levels, abnormal temperatures, connection issues, or other battery status problems in advance. This makes it easier to plan charging and power usage. Bluetooth monitoring also allows users to track battery health in real time, avoid unexpected power outages, and reduce the need for additional shunts or external monitors.
