Yes. Standard LiFePO4 lithium batteries at below-freezing temperatures may suffer power loss, slow charging in cold weather, and reduction of usage time. The LiTime low-temp batteries contain a heating element that auto-heats the cells within the battery to a safe temperature when charging at a freezing temperature so that they can be charged at their full recommended current and get protected while charging under low temperatures for a longer lifespan.

LiTime Low Temperature Series LiFePO4 lithium batteries operate exactly like our standard batteries, with the same power and performance. They have the same charge time at above-freezing temperatures. They also feature the same dimensions, specifications, and connectivity of its standard counterparts, but they’re ideal upgrades for those who are still using lead-acid batteries in low-temperature environments.

The auto self-heating function of LiTime self-heating lithium battery will be activated by the BMS when the battery is connected to a standard charger at -20℃ to 5℃ (-4℉ to 41℉). The heating will stop when the battery temperature reaches 10℃ (-4℉).
