Designed to serve as a display booth and wet bar—and potentially even function as a small floating bar or boat—the project had to combine show-ready design with a complete electrical system. With very little space available, the team chose the LiTime Xtra Mini 100Ah lithium battery to support the lighting, sound system, controls, and other onboard components that brought the build to life.
Why I Needed a Compact Battery Setup for My Mini Pontoon
We are the Tiny Boat Nation Team, and our goal was to build one of the smallest pontoon boats we had ever seen.
The idea was to create a mini pontoon that could be used as a display booth and wet bar at Toonfest 2026. It also needed to look and function like a real pontoon. In theory, a motor could be added and the build could be used on the water as a small boat or floating bar.
Because we were building everything from scratch, space quickly became one of our biggest challenges. The inside still needed room for drinks, merchandise, equipment, and storage, while the outside had to deliver the polished appearance expected from a showpiece.
At the same time, we needed enough power for the RGB lighting, sound system, electrical controls, and electric bimini. A large battery would have taken up too much usable space, so we needed a compact battery that could fit naturally into the overall design.
Why I Chose LiTime for My Mini Pontoon Power Setup

My LiTime Battery Setup and Real-World Results
This mini pontoon was wired like a real boat.
The electrical system included a fuse block and bus bar combination, a cutoff switch, an RGB lighting controller, a stereo system, and controls for an electric bimini. The interior was finished with EVA foam, while neon-style RGB lights were installed throughout the build to create the nighttime show effect we wanted.
The LiTime battery became the power foundation behind these systems. It helped us move the build beyond being a static display and turn it into a functional showpiece with lighting, sound, monitoring, and powered controls.
Once everything was installed and powered up, the mini pontoon was ready for the Toonfest show floor. The event team and people who stopped to see the finished build responded positively to it, even though we had spent much of the project questioning whether every detail would come together in time.
The original project did not include confirmed runtime, charging frequency, or real-world water testing, so those results still need to be evaluated separately. What the build did demonstrate was that a compact power system could support the electrical features needed to turn a very small pontoon into a complete event display.
