From April 22 to 24, 2026, LiTime, a provider of LiFePO4 energy storage systems, exhibited at Sea Japan 2026, one of Japan’s largest international maritime exhibitions. The event brought together leading marine companies and industry professionals.
At the show, LiTime presented smart lithium battery solutions for fishing boats, recreational yachts, and cruisers, with a focus on improving onboard power reliability, efficiency, and management.
As navigation equipment, communication systems, refrigerators, lighting, and other electrical devices become more widely used on boats, stable onboard power is increasingly important. Traditional lead-acid batteries, however, still present challenges in weight, runtime, and maintenance.
To address these needs, LiTime showcased its flagship 12V 280Ah Bluetooth LiFePO4 Battery, along with a system demonstration and a multi-voltage product lineup highlighting lightweight design, long service life, and smart battery management.

High-Capacity Smart Lithium Power for Marine Use
The LiTime 12V 280Ah Bluetooth LiFePO4 Battery is designed to provide stable, long-lasting power for lighting, communication equipment, navigation devices, compact refrigerators, pumps, and other onboard loads.
Compared with a conventional 12V 300Ah lead-acid battery, it offers several advantages:
- Weighs only 26.2 kg, about one-third the weight of a lead-acid battery, making installation and handling easier while reducing vessel weight.
- Provides up to 3,584Wh of energy, with approximately twice the usable capacity of a comparable lead-acid battery.
- Delivers more than 4,000 cycles and a service life of up to 10 years, helping reduce long-term replacement and maintenance costs.

Bluetooth monitoring allows users to check remaining capacity, voltage, temperature, cycle count, and other key battery data through the LiTime App.
The battery also features multiple BMS protections, low-temperature protection, and an IP65 dust- and water-resistant rating. It supports expansion of up to 4 batteries in series and 4 in parallel for different vessel sizes and future system upgrades.
System Demonstration Shows Real-World Marine Power Flow
LiTime also demonstrated a complete system built around a 12V 280Ah Bluetooth LiFePO4 Battery, 12V 1000W inverter, and 12V 40A battery charger.

In this setup, the battery supplies stable DC power, the inverter converts DC power to AC for onboard appliances, and the charger replenishes the battery when shore power or another external power source is available.
This system-level demonstration gave visitors a clearer view of how the components work together in a practical marine auxiliary power system.
For boat owners, the setup can provide longer runtime, lower weight, and simpler power management. For retrofit companies and system integrators, it can also improve design, installation, and maintenance efficiency.
Multi-Voltage Platform for Diverse Marine Applications
In addition to the 12V 280Ah model, LiTime displayed 12V 460Ah, 24V 200Ah, and 48V 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries.
The 12V platform is suitable for small and medium-sized boats, fishing boats, and recreational yachts. The 24V platform supports larger loads and more complex electrical systems, while 48V solutions can be used for electric outboards and higher-capacity energy systems.
LiTime is also expanding into electric marine propulsion with:
- TM Series trolling motor batteries for 12V, 24V, and 36V systems
- OBM Series outboard motor batteries from 12V to 72V
- 16V long-runtime batteries for fish finders
- OTA-enabled dual-purpose starting batteries
Supporting Smarter and More Sustainable Marine Power
The maritime industry is accelerating its transition toward electrification, smarter systems, and lower-carbon operation. Marine power systems are also moving toward safer, more efficient, and easier-to-manage energy solutions.
LiTime aims to support this transition with reliable and scalable lithium battery systems that simplify onboard power management.
“The evolution of marine power systems is not only about changing energy sources, but also about improving user experience, operating efficiency, and safety. LiTime will continue to provide lithium battery solutions for a wide range of marine applications,” said the LiTime Japan regional representative.
