LiTime has officially launched the Argoseeker Electric Outboard Motor Series, its first electric outboard motor lineup and a new step in the brand’s expansion from LiFePO4 battery solutions to integrated marine power systems. The initial lineup includes the Argoseeker A1 24V 700W Electric Outboard Motor and the Argoseeker A2 48V 2000W Electric Outboard Motor, designed for kayaks, canoes, inflatable boats, jon boats, and other small recreational watercraft.

Argoseeker A1 & A2 Electric Outboard Motors

Paired with compatible LiTime LiFePO4 batteries, the Argoseeker Series brings the motor, control system, and energy storage together as a coordinated marine power solution. With clamp-on installation, wireless remote control, and cruise control, the series is designed to make electric propulsion easier to adopt and operate for anglers, paddlers, and recreational boaters.

Argoseeker A1 & A2 Electric Outboard Motors

The Argoseeker Series launches with two power options for different boat sizes and boating needs. The A1 is designed primarily for lighter paddle craft and recreational use, while the A2 provides greater power for heavier small boats, longer trips, and more demanding conditions.

Argoseeker A1 24V 700W Electric Outboard Motor

The Argoseeker A1 is a lightweight 24V 700W electric outboard motor designed for kayaks, canoes, inflatable boats, and other small craft. At approximately 13.45 lbs, it is designed to remain portable while adding electric propulsion without requiring a heavy gasoline outboard. LiTime's official comparison lists the A1 with 60 lbs of thrust, a 28.22-inch shaft, brushless electric drive, clamp-on transom mounting, and wireless remote control.

In LiTime testing, the A1 reached approximately 4.3–6.2 mph with a total boat weight of around 330 lbs. Depending on the desired operating range, it can be paired with compatible LiTime 24V LiFePO4 batteries, including 50Ah or 100Ah options. Actual speed and range will vary with boat type, load, battery configuration, wind, current, and operating speed.

For anglers and recreational paddlers who want electric assistance without moving to a larger propulsion system, the A1 provides a practical way to extend exploration range, move between fishing spots, and reduce the physical effort required for longer outings.

Argoseeker A2 48V 2000W Electric Outboard Motor

The Argoseeker A2 steps up to a 48V 2000W electric propulsion system for heavier small boats, longer-distance trips, and users who require more power. LiTime's official series comparison lists 120 lbs of thrust, a 28.22-inch shaft, a weight of approximately 16.53 lbs, brushless electric drive, clamp-on mounting, and wireless remote control.

During testing with a total boat weight of approximately 660 lbs, the A2 reached speeds of about 7.5–9.3 mph. It also features a built-in weed-cutting blade designed to help reduce propeller tangling when operating in vegetation-heavy waters.

With its higher power output and 48V battery platform, the A2 is positioned for users who want to travel farther, carry heavier loads, or operate a larger small craft while retaining the quiet operation and simpler maintenance associated with electric propulsion.

Key Features and Advantages of Argoseeker A1 & A2

Key Features and Advantages of Argoseeker A1 & A2

Rather than developing the motor as a standalone product, LiTime designed Argoseeker around a more complete small-boat electrification experience. Both A1 and A2 share several core features intended to simplify the transition from paddling or conventional propulsion to electric power.

  • One-stop marine power solution: Argoseeker works with compatible LiTime LiFePO4 batteries, bringing the motor, controller, and battery system together and reducing the complexity of sourcing and matching components from different brands.
  • Quick clamp-on installation: The mounting system requires no complex drilling or professional hull modification. It can be completed in as little as three minutes, although actual setup time depends on the boat and user experience.
  • Wireless remote control: Instead of requiring the operator to remain at a fixed tiller position, Argoseeker allows steering and speed adjustments through wireless control, giving users greater flexibility in different boat layouts.
  • Cruise control: Users can maintain a selected cruising speed during continuous travel, reducing repeated throttle adjustments on longer trips.
  • Brushless electric propulsion: Both models use brushless electric drive and operate without gasoline or tailpipe exhaust. The series is designed to provide quieter operation and reduce routine engine maintenance compared with conventional fuel-powered outboards.
  • Broad small-boat compatibility: The Argoseeker Series is designed for watercraft including kayaks, canoes, inflatable boats, dinghies, small skiffs, jon boats, tenders, and small aluminum fishing boats.

Together, these features support LiTime's broader concept for Argoseeker: making the move from paddle power to electric propulsion more accessible without forcing small-boat users to manage a complicated motor, battery, and control-system setup.

Why LiTime Launched the Argoseeker Electric Outboard Motor

The Argoseeker Series was developed around practical challenges faced by small-boat users. Paddling remains an important part of kayaking and canoeing, but longer distances, changing winds and currents, heavier equipment, and frequent movement between fishing spots can make extended trips physically demanding. At the same time, users who want to add electric propulsion may face another challenge: choosing and matching the motor, battery, controller, wiring, and other accessories.

LiTime's move into electric outboard motors grew out of its experience with marine battery users. Since its first online LiFePO4 battery customer in 2020, the company has seen its batteries used across an increasing range of on-water applications. Feedback from boaters, anglers, and outdoor explorers encouraged LiTime to look beyond energy storage and develop a more complete marine propulsion solution.

Development of Argoseeker began in 2024 and continued through multiple rounds of testing and refinement. In September 2025, LiTime also launched its first Go Electric Contest, inviting paddle-craft users to share their boating experiences, electrification ideas, and real-world challenges. Selected users participated in research and on-water testing, providing feedback on power, installation, compatibility, and control that helped shape the final Argoseeker Series.
