    FAQ

Q: How long does it take to charge a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 lithium battery?

A:The 14.6V 20Ah LiFePO4 battery charger is designed to charge LiFePO4 batteries. The low resistance in the Lithium cells allow the battery to accept the full output from the charger. With a constant 20A current, it takes around 100Ah/20A=5hrs to fully charge a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 lithium battery.

Q: Is it ok to leave a LiFePO4 lithium battery on the charger?

A:If the correct voltage limit is set for the LiFePO4 lithium ion battery you are charging, there should be no issue leaving a lithium ion battery on the charger overnight. LiTime Battery uses a LiFePO4 cell giving a nominal voltage of 12.8v and a fully charged voltage of 14.6v. A charger with 14.4-14.6v CC/CV output will do the job with consideration not to exceed roughly 1C maximum current output of the charger. As long as the CC/CV profile is used, the maximum voltage is at the correct level and the current is not excessive, you will achieve a safe and full charge on your battery.

Q: How fast will my battery charge?

A:To determine your charging speed, take the amp hour rating of your battery and divide it by the output current of your charger. For example, a 100 amp hour battery (Ah) would charge in 100AH/20A=5 hours with a 14.6V 20A LiFePO4 lithium battery charger.

Q: Can I charge my LiFePO4 lithium battery faster?

A:For most applications, a charging time of 3-10 hours provides the longest lifespan for your LiFePO4 lithium battery. But if you have an application where you need rapid charging, you can choose a charger with a higher output current. For example, you could use a 40 amp charger with a 100Ah battery for a 2.5-hour charge time.

Q: What voltage should LiFePO4 lithium batteries be charged at?

A:It depends on the voltages of your LiFePO4 lithium batteries. LiTime 14.6 volts charger is recommended for 12V LiFePO4 lithium batteries. And LiTime 29.2 volts charger is recommended for 24V LiFePO4 lithium batteries.

Q: How to choose the right charger for my LiFePO4 lithium battery?

A: It is always important to match your charger to deliver the correct current and voltage for the LiFePO4 lithium battery you are charging. For example, you wouldn't use a 24V charger to charge a 12V LiFePO4 lithium battery. It's also recommended that you use a charger matched to your battery chemistry. Additionally, when charging a LiFePO4 lithium battery with a normal lead-acid charger, you would want to ensure that the charger does not have a desulfation mode or a dead battery mode.

Exact same issue as other reviewers

Clicking between red and green. It was charging to start with, but now it's just doing this annoying clicking/switching and I don't know how I'm going to use it to sustain a charge on my house batteries when it's doing this.

Charger is switching between red and green like two others mentioned here. Charger never stops switching.

Contacted support by email. They replied, but they did not understand the problem. Have not heard from service again.

I was using the charger on a brand new 100 amp hr LiTime battery. I don’t know if the new battery is bad, or if the charger is bad.

    Not good so far

My experience is exactly like another review on here from yesterday (John Kliewer). Brand new Litime 100 ah Trolling motor battery and this charger just arrived yesterday. Heard a repeated clicking from my bedroom and found the charger turning off and on over and over. Tested with a multimeter and it was going from 12.9v to 15.6v. The battery has actually lost charge overnight. First Litime purchase not so good. Hoping on a quick response from tech support as I was hoping to use this on an upcoming trip.

Received the charger a day late which is understandable during the late November season except that FedEx kept promising to the last minute it would be delivered a day early. I could see early on that FedEx was feeding me a bunch of BS. Li Time needs to change to UPS.

Battery quit charging and began alternating off and on showing voltages as high as 15.62 and as low as 13.01 while I was monitoring charging on my multimeter. I don’t know if this is a battery or a battery charger problem. Have communicated with Support but no answer. Understandable since this is a weekend.

So for you in marketing, this is not what you wanted to hear. I trust Support will make it right after they have enjoyed the weekend. Until then, I cannot be of positive marketing support.

    Cheers!
