What is a DC-DC charger, and why do I need it?
A DC-DC charger allows you to safely charge a leisure battery from your vehicle's alternator while protecting both the alternator and batteries. It ensures efficient charging, especially in setups with lithium batteries.
What type of alternator is this DC to DC on board battery charger compatible with?
This battery charger is designed to work with both conventional and smart alternators. However, because conventional alternators maintain a consistent voltage during charging, while smart alternators adjust their charging output based on operating conditions, it is necessary to connect the charger to the smart alternator using the IGN Signal Wire provided with the package through the Vehicle Ignition Port.
What types of battery does the charger support?
It’s compatible with 12V Lithium, Gel, AGM, and Calcium batteries, providing a full 100% charge for each type. Additionally, it can jump start lithium batteries that have been discharged to low voltage levels.
What will happen if the service battery is fully charged?
The LiTime DC to DC Battery Charger with solar input, incorporates a Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR). This feature enables the charger to perform Trickle Charging for the service battery, preserving its full charge, as well as to perform Trickle Charging for the starting battery using solar panels. Additionally, the VSR guarantees dependable isolation between the starting battery and service battery, preventing any charging interference.
Can I use this DC-DC charger while driving?
Absolutely. This DC-DC charger is designed to work while the vehicle is running, providing continuous charging to your secondary battery from the alternator.
How does this charger handle temperature variations?
The charger includes a temperature sensor to adjust charging based on ambient temperatures, optimizing charging and protecting batteries in both hot and cold conditions.
Why is my DC-DC charger not charging?
If your DC-DC charger isn't charging your LiFePO4 battery, even with normal or flashing lights, the issue is often related to wiring, settings, or vehicle voltage.

Hola, tengo problemas con mi cargador, con el alternador funciona 1 minuto y se apaga así por varias veces, ya cambie los disyuntores y sigue igual, alguna ayuda? ya tengo varios meses con esta falla le pedí a la tienda que me lo cambie pero estoy en Perú y no lo puedo enviar por que me piden un certificado que no es una batería, en sistema solar funciona bien, espero que la casa me pueda enviar uno de reemplazo pronto.
This simplified my electric install on my van by combining the dc to dc (charge while I drive) with the mppt (charge with panels while I'm parked) it saved me time and money by not having to buy and hook up a separate charge controler. We'll worth the money AWESOME PRODUCT, a must buy.
