From Army Veteran to Pro Angler: Jay Striker’s LiTime Story

Before I became a professional angler, I served as a police officer and in the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division. Those years taught me something I've carried onto the water ever since: preparation matters, and when things get tough, you have to stay calm and trust yourself.

Fishing challenges me in a different way. No matter how much I prepare, I never know exactly what the lake will give me. Some days everything comes together. Other days, I have to work for every bite. That's what keeps me coming back.

Now I compete on the MLF Pro Circuit, where long days and tough conditions demand equipment I can count on. LiTime powers my trolling motor, electronics, and essential boat systems, giving me one less thing to worry about when I'm chasing that next fish.

But fishing has become about more than competition. Through Striker Nation Outdoors, I also want to help young people experience the outdoors and discover the excitement of fishing for themselves.

I've spent my life learning to face challenges. Now, I get to share something I love along the way.
