My name is Vadim, I'm from Poland. I live and travel in my old 20-year-old van, which I converted into a cozy home on wheels myself. I have been on the road for over 10 years. I spend at least half of each year in my campervan traveling and just living my daily life.
I did the electrical installation in my van myself. It was originally based on lead-acid batteries. Heavy and inefficient.
From September 2023, thanks to cooperation with LiTime, I have 2 100Ah LiFePo4 batteries connected in parallel. I also have a 30A MPPT LiTime solar panel charge controller and a 10A AC charger.
Since then, I have forgotten what it means to have problems with a lack of energy. Especially in winter, in the north of Poland, where sunlight is scarce.

I can live completely off-grid.
The challenge and problem for me is the lack of protection against charging below 0 degrees Celsius and charging batteries when there is no sun. This was my biggest fear before switching lead acid batteries to LiFePo4. This requires a lot of attention, especially if you live in the north of Poland like I do. I can somehow cope with that, but in the future, I will probably try to buy batteries with protection against charging at low temperatures and a DC-to-DC charger.
