2. Battery Cells
The regular one is made of prismatic LiFePO4 cells, while the mini is made of pouch LiFePO4 cells.
Both prismatic and pouch LiFePO4 cells are types of lithium iron phosphate batteries, a popular type of battery used in various applications, including energy storage systems, electric vehicles, and backup power systems.
Prismatic LiFePO4 cells have a rectangular shape and come in standard sizes that are easy to manufacture and integrate into battery packs. They are relatively durable and tend to have higher energy density than other types of lithium-ion batteries, making them a popular choice for many applications.

All of LiTime’s LiFePO4 batteries have the highest level of safety, as confirmed by UL Test reports, you can rest assured that both the 12V 100Ah and LiTime's 12V 100Ah Mini are extremely safe to use.
3. Internal Structure
LiTime's 12V 100Ah Mini boasts an optimized internal design with a compact and sturdy structure, ensuring rock-solid reliability that has been rigorously tested and confirmed to be the safest ever. With this level of safety, you can confidently install the battery in any direction that suits your application, without worrying about any damage from rough roads or bumpy rides.
However, the regular 12V 100Ah can only be installed upright with post bolts facing up or on its 2 smaller sides.
4. Energy Density
The mini one has the Industry highest energy density: 164.5wh/L (142.2wh/kg). While the regular 100Ah one has the energy density of 109.07 Wh/kg.
Part 3: Reviews of LiTime 12V 100Ah & 100Ah Mini
Both of these types of batteries have received widespread praise in the market.
Here are some reviews of these 2 batteries.
“If you would have told me a couple of years ago that I will be able to buy a reliable 100Ah LiFePO4 battery with a built-in BMS for $349, I would’ve said “no way”. But here we are. After testing this battery and pushing it to its limits, my opinion is that it’s a great battery at an affordable price.” ------Is The LiTime 12V 100Ah Lithium Battery Any Good?
“LiTime calls it Mini and advertises it as being the most compact 100Ah LiFePO4 battery on the market, and it is! It’s quite impressive how compact it is, and it’s hard to believe it’s a 100Ah battery. Not only is the form factor compact, but it’s also lightweight at 19 pounds.” ----LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini LiFePO4 Lithium Battery Review
Part 4: FAQs about LiTime 12V 100Ah vs 100Ah Mini
1. Can I connect these 2 typle of LiFePO4 batteries in series or parallel?
No. Connecting these two batteries together would be detrimental to their individual lifespans, as they possess differing cells and internal structures.
2. Can they be used as starting batteries for golf carts?
Not recommended, as the golf cart generates a high current during startup, uphill driving, or acceleration, 100ah or mini may not have enough power to supply it. To protect the batteries, the BMS board will be activated. Over time, the BMS may get damaged, leading to a decline in battery system performance or even its destruction.
